Post Operative Care Services

Vital RNs has served Seattle area clients since 2003. We have close working relationships with the area's finest plastic surgeons and extensive experience in coordinating care with their surgical centers. Our clients have been enthusiastically pleased with our care, and we frequently see them after subsequent procedures. We are based in Seattle but provide care in King, Snohomish, Kitsap, and Pierce counties. From the time that we transport you from the surgical center to your home or hotel until we return you to your post-operative visit the next day, we are dedicated to meeting your needs.

The most common remark we hear as we are leaving is, "It would have been so difficult to get through this without you." The second most common is, "Could you stay a little longer?" What do we do that is so helpful to our clients? Here is a list of some of the services we provide:

• Transportation from the surgery center to your home or hotel

• Transportation to your next-day appointment with your plastic surgeon

• Monitoring for post-operative complications

• Individualized nursing assessment of your post-operative needs

• Management of pain using ordered medication and supportive nursing interventions

• Providing ice to surgical sites if ordered

• Assisting with getting in and out of bed and activity as advised by your cosmetic surgeon

• Assisting with dressing and bathing

• Preparing nourishment and fluids

• Changing dressings and managing any drains nor catheters

• Instructing you and your subsequent caregiver in the management of medications, dressings, drains, activity level, and nourishment.

• Providing the support and caring that will ease you through the initial recovery process
